Serve Others

At MCCPB we are a church of many ministers.  And a big part of that ministry is service to others.

We serve the most vulnerable in our community through our weekly food pantry, annual school supply drive, Christmas Fair, HIV support programs and advocacy for migrant workers.

Food Pantry

Have some free time on Tuesday and Wednesday?  Come help out at our food pantry!

Founded initially in response to the AIDs crisis in the 1980’s, MCCPB’s Food Pantry has grown to serve approximately 2,000 people each month.

Our team distributes grocery staples and fresh produce to people from all walks of life.  Food pantry set-up is on Tuesday and operates from 1-4 p.m. every Wednesday (except the fifth Wednesday in the month).

For more information or to volunteer, email foodpantry@mccpb.org.

Social Justice

Want to advocate for change?  You’ve come to the right place!

MCCPB works toward equality, peace, economic justice for the poor, and caring for our planet.

In addition to advocating for justice for the LGBTQ community, we march in solidarity with agricultural workers demanding fair wages and workplace safety.  And with Habitat for Humanity, we build and restore  homes.

Our members also work to educate the MCCPB congregation about these issues.

For more information or to volunteer, email socialjustice@mccpb.org.

Back to School

Each fall, MCCPB collects donations from our congregants of school supplies for children in need.

We distribute these necessities – everything from pencils to backpacks – through teachers in our congregation and local schools.

We also work in partnership with Estella’s Brilliant Bus to bring school supplies and computers to disadvantaged children from the the Belle Glade area to West Palm Beach.

For more information or to volunteer, email  volunteer@mccpb.org.

Christmas Fair

Every child should have a present to open on Christmas morning.  But for some families, there is little money to spare for presents.

We try to fill this gap with our Christmas Fair.  Our congregation donates toys and games, which are sold at a steep discount to our food pantry guests for the children in their households. We even provide free gift wrapping.

The proceeds of the sale are then donated to the Coalition of Immokalee workers, making their Christmas a bit brighter, too.
